This weeks constant rainy weather in and around Nerja, caused flooding to the Rio Seco (Dry River!) The Rio Seco had overflowed its banks and posed a danger to persons in and around the area. The Policía Local advised people to avoid travelling on all roads near the river unless it is absolutely necessary and to use only bridges and overpasses that were designed as river crossings. Although the weather has had a complete turn around today, with stunning sunshine in Nerja, certain areas in the countryside still pose dangers, and Police insist that drivers follow the advice of Civil Protection Forces.
