Under the banner “Sonrisas hacia la Gran Senda en Nerja” the town is just one of 50 towns in the province that will be participating in the event to help publicize bone marrow donation.
You can register for the hike in any of the towns taking part in the event with longer hikes for those who like a challenge and shorter hikes for families with children.
The objective of the planned hike is to raise money so that children with cancer can walk the Camino de Santiago and to plant a tree in each town along the hike in honour of bone marrow donation activist Pablo Ráez and his message “Always Strong”.
The fee is 10€ and includes breakfast, a T-shirt and an end of hike paella where everyone will be given a badge for taking part.
