Nerja joins 60 local authorities from 5 provinces all looking for a way to generate year-round tourism. The aim of the network is to extend the tourist season beyond the summer in the hope of providing jobs and revenue at the local level.
Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Francisco Javier Fernández and the President of the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP), Fernando Rodríguez Villalobos, spoke at the meeting to raise awareness of the networks goal that favours taking all measures necessary to implement, develop and regulate the fight against tourist seasonality.
