The 1974 album 461 Ocean Boulevard was Clapton’s first release after recovering from a three-year addiction to heroin and features the Bob Marley and the Wailers cover “I Shot the Sheriff.”
After overcoming his drug addiction Clapton realized that he had wasted three years of his life just watching television while getting out of shape and decided to take control by working on a farm where he became inspired by listening to new music and old blues recordings.
The title of the album refers to the house where Clapton lived while doing the recording work and is now the most famous address in South Florida.
Tickets for the two-hour tribute concert are available at the Nerja Cultural Centre at Calle Granada, 45 for 10€. For more information, telephone 952 52 38 63.
