Luar Na Lubre was born in La Coruña, Galicia, in 1986 with the idea of making traditional Galician music available to the world. Based on a repertoire of traditional Celtic music from the area, Luar Na Lubre is the most celebrated band of its kind in Spain.
Luar Na Lubre has performed more than a thousand concerts in 23 countries that have included Argentina, Canada and even Palestine. The band has performed with Tubular Bells creator Mike Oldfield and toured with the Waterboys, The Corrs and Bob Geldof.
Their musical ideology has managed to create a recognizable personal sound on the folk music scene that is admired around the world.
