Starting in November Canadian leisure airline Air Transat will add Malaga, Spain to its list of European destinations.
Transat joins many recent airlines that will soon fly to and from Malaga. Based in Montreal, Canada, Air Transat will offer twice-weekly seven hour nonstop flights aboard one of its Airbus A330-200 aircraft, according to a press release put out by the airline this week.
Similar to TUI and Thomas Cook, Air Transat is Canada’s number one leisure airline.
Specializing in holiday travel and offering vacation packages that include hotel stays, Air Transat’s main focus is on Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean.
Now including Malaga in their list of holiday hotspots, the airline describes their latest destination as being the starting point for a memorable Spanish holiday saying: “Once in Malaga, visitors can easily travel to Grenada, Seville, Nerja or Frigiliana, as well as Córdoba, Ronda and Marbella, and even take a boat to visit Tangier in Morocco!
“In fact, from Malaga, travellers often explore the whole Andalusia region and the southern coast of Spain, where they find a rich cultural experience, opulent monuments and an impressive architectural heritage.”
Based in Montreal, Canada, Air Transat has 5,000 employees and was named the World’s Best Leisure Airline at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
