The “We Love Nerja Market” craft market which began last February, will restart this weekend following its closure due to the coronavirus. The craft market is held in the Plaza de España on the second weekend of each month. Its hours have been adjusted to suit the summer season, so it will be open from 6 pm to 1 am.
The Councillor for Trade, Javier Lopez, reports out that ” included in the attractions of this craft market, are illustrators, jewellers, sculptors and potters, amongst others. “
“This activity began to boost the value of the Plaza de España as a tourist attraction, and now we are restarting it again with the aim of turning it into a leading craft market on the Costa del Sol”.
Lopez reports that it has also revived the activity of the craft stalls in the Plaza de Los Cangrejos and Diputación Street, as well as permits for street musicians. “Little by little, with caution and taking all the sanitary safety measures, we are recovering normality”.
