On Thursday 20 August the Town Exhibition Hall will be opening its doors for an exhibition of the painter Coby Bloemsma. The exhibition will run until 5th September and is open daily from from 11:00-14:00 and 19:30-20:30. The hall is located at 14 Almirante Ferrándiz Street.
Coby Bloemsma is a Dutch artist who has lived in Torrox for 11 years. In this exhibition she presents a series of paintings with women as the main subject. Her paintings feature a variety of different techniques: acrylic, oil and mixed. Coby’s favourite themes are portraits and figures although she also paints flowers and landscapes. Her style is realistic and abstract, she is always experimenting with color and form discovering new styles of expression. On this occasion she also exhibits sculptures made of recycled materials, created during the period of confinement by the coronavirus.
