The blobfish
Spare a thought for the blobfish, a sad but cute looking bottom dweller who, despite being inedible, is facing extinction through over- fishing. The poor blobfish tends to get dragged up from the bottom with more sought-after delicacies, such as lobsters, and as a result, its numbers are dwindling rapidly. No wonder the fish looks so sad. Cute whales
The DM continues to come up with some very good wildlife photos, these being underwater shots of beluga whales. The headline “Amazing underwater photos show beluga whales meeting divers at Arctic rehabilitation farm” leaves one in doubt as to who exactly is in rehabilitation, but never mind.
