Dear Richard
This apparently genuine complaint letter to Sir Richard Branson has been circulating cyberspace and is being lauded as one of the best ever letters of complaint.
Election set for May 6th
So, the UK General Election has been set for May 6th, which means that even less said by politicians between now and then can be believed, if that’s at all possible. Same everywhere in the run-up to an election. One would imagine that, unless Ms Harperson decides to introduce compulsory full-frontal lobotomies for ALL, a landslide should be in order …
Confusion reigns
Some motorists have been confused by special new road signs recently installed in the town of Treviso, northern Italy. The signs are triangular in shape with a red-border and bear an image of a well-endowed woman wearing a mini-skirt and high heels and carrying a handbag.
SatNav on, brain off
SatNav can be a great asset when driving, but turning on the device doesn’t mean you should turn off your brain. This was the case with ‘Motherhood’, the latest critically panned offering starring Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Jodie Foster. The opening day saw just one ticket sold and it …
MI5, version 2.0
MI5 is putting its ageing spies out to pasture and recruiting younger, computer-savvy individuals as replacements in an attempt to keep up to date with modern life.
Roadkill resuscitation attempt leads to charges
A man in Pennsylvania has been charged after reportedly spending quite some time trying to resuscitate a long-dead opossum on a road north-east of Pittsburgh. The man was charged with public drunkenness after his antics with the roadkill. He apparently first knelt by the animal for some time, gesturing wildly with his arms, before attempting mouth to mouth resuscitation on …
Interesting sign
Spotted this rather curious sign on a beach in La Herradura this morning.
