Lorenzo wins in Japan

Reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo won the Japanese Grand Prix to ensure the championship title fight will go down to the final race of the season. Lorenzo led from start to finish and was followed home by fellow Spaniards Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa.

Málaga 0-5 Celta

Only two yellow cards at La Rosaleda, probably because the ref was too busy with all the goals slamming into the Málaga net at regular intervals. Alex López with two, Augusto Fernández, Nolito and Charles were on target as Celta hammered the Blue and Whites 0-5.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice, once from the penalty spot, as Real Madrid beat Juventus 2-1 to maintain their 100% Champions League record. It was Ronaldo’s seventh goal in three Champions League games. Llorente was the scorer for Juventus.

Barcelona fought back to earn a 1-1 draw against AC Milan on Tuesday night, Lionel Messi scoring the equaliser after Robinho had put the Italian side ahead. Barcelona are two points clear in their Champions League group.

The 35th Carrera Urbana de Málaga has been won by El Mouaziz in a time of 30:21, with Diaz Carretero and Daniel Pérez in second and third. A record number of 16,227 people participated in the event.

Winning streaks come to an end

Both the top two teams lost their 100% records on Saturday as Barcelona were held to a 0-0 draw at Osasuna and Atlético Madrid lost 1-0 to Espanyol, Courtois being credited with an own goal after deflecting a Fuentes shot into his own net.

A Di Maria strike and a controversial late penalty converted by Cristiano Ronaldo gave Real Madrid a 2-0 victory over Málaga on Saturday afternoon.

Pedrosa top in Sepang

It was another Spanish 1-2-3 in the MotoGP at Sepang, this time with Dani Pedrosa leading home Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo. Marquez extended his lead in the championship and it means the 20-year-old can win the title in Australia next weekend.
