Seven-time champion Rafael Nadal 27, came through against world number one Novak Djokovic 6-4 3-6 6-1 6-7 (3-7) 9-7 in four hours and 37 minutes to reach his eighth French Open final. Nadal will play either compatriot David Ferrer or France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Sunday’s final.

Neymar on his way to Barcelona
Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign the highly rated 21 year-old Brazilian striker Neymar from Santos. The deal is expected to be finalised on Monday and Neymar will join Barcelona after the Confederations Cup, which starts in Brazil on June 15th and finishes on June 30th.

The good news for Malaga CF was short-lived after it turns out that the widely reported ‘reprieve’ for the club regarding European competition was an error due to the mis-translation of the UEFA report.
Barcelona 2-1 Real Valladolid
An under-strength Barcelona were 2-1 victors in their match against Real Valladolid on Sunday, an early strike by Pedro and an own goal from Valiente just before half time being sufficient. Victor Peréz scored from the penalty spot in the 89th minute for the visitors.
Pedrosa wins in France
Dani Pedrosa won a wet French Grand Prix and now leads the championship from Marquez.Britain’s Cal Crutchlow, who suffered a fractured leg during practice, finished second with Marc Marquez in third. Reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo finished down in seventh place after starting from second on the grid.
