Still pretty good weather all things considered. A few places, particularly restaurants, already closed for the winter season, as they usually do.
Hot winds…
Very strong winds on Saturday afternoon and evening, but also very warm as it appears to have been coming from the Sahara. That gave us temperatures of 26 degrees during the evening!
Extended hours at Pocapecunia…
Pocapecunia, the charity shop in aid of The Love A Child Foundation located in Calle Bella Vista 6 in Nerja, opening hours 10:00 – 13:30 will, starting from the 3rd of December, also be open on Wednesday afternoons from 15:00 to 17:00.
Market Day…
Nice day for a trip to the market after the last couple of Tuesdays.
OMG, OMG, OMG…
Went to the weekly market for the first time in ages – years in fact – and thought I would try some fig bread on offer at a dried fruit stall. Soooo glad I waited until I got home and didn’t begin eating on the hoof!
Out and About November 16th 2014…
It is still not possible to walk beneath the Balcón de Europa from Calahonda beach to La Caletilla beach as work is still continuing to repair the problems of falling debris which occurred at the end of September.
Roadworks continuing at steady pace…
The roadworks in calle Trancos are continuing at a steady pace. Should be getting re-cobbled fairly soon.
Roadworks update…
Work continues in calle Iglesias, behind the iglesia El Salvador on the Balcón de Europa, but it is early days yet, still over three months to go before it is scheduled to be finished.
Smelly day at Carabeillo beach…
The bulldozers have been on Carabeillo beach clearing away vegetation and other items and there is very little bathing area left at the moment.
Ticket system at the Post Office…
The Nerja Post Office now has a numbered ticket system for those queuing, the dispenser being located just inside the door to the right.
