Fatality at swimming pool in Torrox Costa
A woman drowned on Friday afternoon at a swimming pool in an urbanisation on Avenida de las Palmeras in Torrox Costa. The Emergency Services received a call at 18:04 to say that there was a body was floating in the pool. Medics performed resuscitation techniques but could not revive the woman.
Council planning infrastructure projects costing €1.5 million
Torrox Council is finalising the paperwork to begin a number of infrastructure projects, with €970,000 of funding having been made available through a budget amendment and a further €500,000 from the Fund for Sustainable Tourism.
