La Taberna on calle Cristo is always a good place to stop for a lunchtime tapas. On this occasion I had skate in a tasty batter with tomato salad. Well cooked fish, juicy and the batter was excellent. Beer and a tapas now €1.90.
Euforia in Nerja
The former Gusto e Sapori on calle Cristo in Nerja is now open again as Euforia, a cafe-bar.
Rincón de Encarni
New on the scene in Nerja is Rincón de Encarni, located on the corner of calle Los Huertos and calle Rodrigues Acosta in premises previously occupied for many years by a souvenir, newspaper and general store.
Le Relais Gourmand is now the Asador Dos Hermanos
The French restaurant Le Relais Gourmand in calle Cristo, Nerja, has gone and is now the Asador ‘Dos Hermanos’, another tapas bar and roast establishment with take-away possibilities.
Lunchtime tapas at El Tapeito
Popped in to El Tapeito on calle Chaparil for a quick tapa on Tuesday lunchtime. It has become quite a popular bar and serves a good variety of tapas, although on this particular occasion I must say I was a little disappointed.
Back to regular prices at La Bodeguilla
After a price reduction at Easter to €1.50, it’s now back up to €1.60 for a beer, tapas and tray of olives at La Bodeguilla in calle Antonio Millón. Still great value and the tapas are excellent.
Sunday lunchtime Tapas at El Puente
El Puente on the way into Nerja, by Puente Nuevo, the cobbled bridge, always has some great tapas. This time I had a sort of stew, very meaty and tasty, washed down with a good sized beer, €1.60. Good value.
La Liebra
The former La Bodega on Plaza La Marina in Nerja, which has been opening and closing on a regular basis in recent times, has now become La Liebra.
Morning coffee at Los Naranjos
Los Naranjos is a cafe/tapas bar on calle San Miguel, opposite the Sala Mercado. It has a small street terrace where you can enjoy a nice morning coffee or a lunchtime beer and tapas while you watch the world go by. Coffee is €1.
Tapas at La Puntilla
La Puntilla on calle Bolivia remains one of the top tapas bars in Nerja, full of character and serving some great tapas, especially for those who like fish. A small beer and a tapa is €1.50. On this occasion I had rather a nice salad for a change.
