The Mirasol on Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos has taken over the adjoining premises, formerly the home of Bagels and Tapas.
Diva’s Bar
The Andrea Inn on calle Jaén has changed name to Diva’s Bar and has a colourful new sign.
Finlay’s The Corner
Work is continuing on the former Finlay’s The Corner on avenida Castilla Perez, the outside getting a lick of paint and the inside beginning to take shape. Shouldn’t be too long before the place opens.
Amazonas official opening
The official opening of the new Amazonas Brazilian Churresqueria on avenida Castilla Perez is at 20:00 on Friday May 13th.
Cafe Bajamar closed for renovation
There will be no morning coffees or breakfasts at Bajamar on calle Antonio Millón for a while. Good time for renovation with the street currently in a bit of a mess. The Tutti Bajamar part of the cafe is still open as that is fairly new.
Agape open again
The bar Agape on calle Granada has reopened after undergoing extensive internal renovation during the past few months.
Merendero Pepe Mesa
Merendero Pepe Mesa has replaced Chiringuito El Breine down on El Playazo beach. It still has a very large terrace, ample room inside and has its own parking area. Quite a few people enjoying lunch there yesterday.
El Chamiza
Down on calle Mérida, towards the Perla Marina Hotel, the former La Biznaga is now El Chamiza.
La Chocita Sueca
New in Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos is La Chocita Sueca, a Swedish restaurant. Looks quite impressive decked out with the Swedish colours.
Bagels and Tapas
Bagels and Tapas on Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos seems to have gone. The signs are down and the inside looks like it is being cleared.
