Plaza de las Monjas is an elongated square in front of the colegio San Miguel near the top end of avenida Castilla Perez, although there are no signs or the customary ceramic plaques indicating the name.
At the end of the plaza is a passageway leading past the side entrance of the Nerja Cultural Centre to calle Granada, a useful shortcut.
The square is home to the very popular Cafe San Miguel where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy a nice drink and a tapa.
