A court in Málaga has acquitted the Chief of the Local Police in Vélez-Mâlaga of the alleged crime of assault against one of his neighbours.
Alleged arsonist acquitted
Emilio Perdigón, accused of starting fires in Huelva on July 24th 2004 in which two people lost their lives and 35,291 hectares of land were destroyed, has been acquitted by the Provincial Court in Huelva.

At a hearing in Granada, a man who was facing a 15 month jail sentence and €700 fine for drugs trafficking has been acquitted after the drugs were deemed to be for his own personal use.
