Twenty-six year old socialist María del Carmen Salguero has become the new Mayor of Almargen, population 2,100, in Málaga province. She takes over from Vicente Jiménez who, after a decade in power, has decided to step down for ‘personal reasons’.
Water analysis in Almargen
Málaga Provincial Council, through the Provincial Water Consortium, is set to carry out a technical analysis of the waters of the Rio Almargen, characterised by salinity, to assess whether it has therapeutic qualities similar to those in Tolox and Carratraca.
