The Catalan writer Ana Maria Matute will today, Wednesday, receive the Premio Cervantes 2010, one of the highest awards in Spanish literature. King Juan Carlos I will make the presentation.

Catalan author Ana María Matute has been awarded the Cervantes Literary Prize for 2010, only the third woman to receive the honour in its 35 year history. The other two female winners were María Zambrano and Dulce María Loynaz.
