Griñan calls on the Central Government to review the debt limit for Andalucia

The president of the Junta de Andalucia, José Antonio Griñán, has called upon the Central Government to review the debt limit set for the region, a limit Griñan believes is discriminatory and will involve the closure of 19 hospitals, half the schools and make 60,000 public employees redundant.

Junta de Andalucia not happy with debt limit

The Junta de Andalucia, as one might have expected, is not happy with the debt limits set by the Executive of the Central Government and announced by the Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy (CPFF) at a meeting held on Tuesday.

Increase in abandoned and abused animals in Andalucia

Unemployment in Andalucia up to 33.92%

Unemployment in Andalucia rose by 33,000 people in the second quarter of 2012 and the official total of those without work now stands at 1,362,900, that is 33.92% of the working population.

According to a seemingly pointless Egopa opinion poll, if an election were to be held now in Andalucia it would result in a win for the PSOE-A by two points, with 39.76% to 37.62% of the votes. Not that winning or losing an election made any difference in March 2012.
