Decomposed body found near Istán

A foreign couple out for a stroll on the carril Zahara in Istán, close to urbanisation Cerros del Lago, made a rather gruesome discovery on Sunday afternoon, a badly decomposed body. Police and forensic experts are investigating the discovery and trying to determine what happened. The body is thought to be that of a man.

Restoration of Álora castle

Álora Council has approved a modified draft project and contract specifications for the restoration of the Castillo de Las Torres. The technical criteria were modified after excavations unearthed some surprises, such as some XVI century wall paintings.

Mortuary for Sierra de Yeguas

Sierra de Yeguas Council has put out to tender the project for the construction of a mortuary in the municipality, the successful bidder having the option to operate the service for a maximum period of 75 years.
