PP win in Andalucia but no absolute majority
The Partido Popular has won the election in Andalucia but not, as was widely expected, with an absolute majority and it is quite possible that a left-wing PSOE-IU coalition could form the new government if deals can be made. The PP has 50 seats, the PSOE 47 and IU 12 seats.

Election turnout at 14:00 was 29.03% (down 10% on 2008) and at 18:00 was 47.08% (down 12% on 2008), although there is still time for a late rally.

6,405,200 people are eligible to vote on Sunday in the elections in Andalucia to elect 109 deputies from the 33 political parties at the 10,351 polling stations in 3,871 electoral colleges. The results should be known at 21:30.
