Cost of water to go up on May 1st 2011
The cost of water in Andalucia will rise by €1.24 as from May 1st 2011 and is the result of the application of a canon in order to comply with a European Union directive to improve the water supply.
Junta de Andalucia looking for solution to illegal homes in the Axarquia
The Minister of Public Works and Housing of the Junta de Andalucia, Josefina Cruz, has said that the government is looking at possible solutions with regard to 86.5% of buildings constructed on rural land in the Axarquia and currently considered illegal.
TDT signal problems in coastal areas

The crisis and paternity tests
The demand for paternity tests in Andalucia, although still relatively small, has apparently doubled in the past year, this increase being blamed on the economic crisis in Spain.
