The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has carried out repairs to the A-343 between Antequera and El Valle de Abdalajís to allow use once more by heavy vehicles, including school buses. The road was affected by the recent storms.
Missing Antequera woman located near Motril
Guardia Civil officers in Motril have located a woman reported missing in Antequera several weeks ago. She was found wandering along the side of the road between Motril and Salobreña.
Criticism of Antequera feria
The opposition PSOE in Antequera has harshly criticised the Agrogant agricultural feria saying that exhibition stands were smaller, there were less exhibitors than normal and public admission to certain events was too restrictive. The Council response was that the event had to conform to budgetary constraints.

The Feria de la Primavera y Agrogant in Antequera this year takes place from June 1st to 3rd and includes agricultural food products, agricultural and farm machinery (Expomaq). Highlights include a horse show, bullfighting classes and concerts by Danza Invisible and Raya Real.

A 43 year old man died this morning in Antequera as the result of stab wounds to the abdomen. The incident occurred at the junction of calle Lucena and calle Garzón. National Police are investigating.

Fire in Antequera destroys one hectare of land
One hectare of scrub land was destroyed yesterday following a fire in the Sierra de Abdalajís in Antequera. The fire started at around 11:20 and was extinguished at 18:25 with five aircraft and six ground vehicles involved in the operation.

Parents of a fourteen year old girl in Antequera have reported to the police that their daughter been missing since Monday and they fear that she is being held against her will.
Small fire in Antequera
A small area of land and two cypress trees near the La Verónica roundabout in Antequera were damaged yesterday afternoon as the result of a fire. The nearby petrol station was advised to close as a precautionary measure while firemen extinguished the blaze.
