Two ETA members arrested in London

Police in the UK, collaborating with the Spanish national Police, have arrested two ETA members, Antonio  Troitiño Arranz and Ignacio Lerín Sánchez. With the new arrests, a total of five wanted ETA members have been detained in the past week.

17 arrested in connection with marriages of convenience

The National Police in Madrid have dismantled an organisation involved in arranging marriages of convenience, advising illegal immigrants how to get visas and work permits, forging all sorts of licences and certificates and even acting as witnesses for arranged marriages.

Police have seized hundreds of munitions from small hand guns to 300 kilo aerial bombs, arresting ten people allegedly engaged in buying and selling Spanish Civil War and World War Two artefacts.

National Police officers have arrested three Algerian nationals for allegedly organising and manning a boat trip from Algeria with 23 illegal immigrants on board, each having paid around €500 for the privilege.

Bank robbers apprehended

Guardia Civil officers have now arrested both of the alleged perpetrators of a bank robbery in Cártama in April 2011.

15 members of drug smuggling network arrested

National Police and Tax Office agents have dismantled an organisation involved in smuggling cocaine and hashish into Spain by sea from Melilla, with 15 people so far being detained.
