The new underground rubbish containers in calle Jaén, installed about a month ago, are still not in use. Hopefully it won’t take as long as it did in Plaza Tutti Frutti!
Calle Jaén is open to traffic once more
Calle Jaén, the road markings freshly painted, is now open once more to traffic. It is also now a one way street from avenida Castilla Perez to calle Chaparil.
Balcon de Europa, Plaza Cavana, calle Carabeo, calle Jaén
A trip round some of the major building works today, see how they’re progressing. The square behind the Balcón de Europa has the primary surface in place although very little, if any, activity in this area this morning.

Although there is no official confirmation, word on the street leads one to believe that the roadworks in calle Jaén, scheduled to be completed before Christmas, will not actually be finished before the end of January at the earliest.
Work on the other side of calle Jaén now started
Work has started on the other side of calle Jaén, work now being carried out on both sides of the street. The whole project, which includes wide pavements, is due to be completed before Christmas!
Andrea Inn to reopen shortly…

Work is progressing calle Jaén but difficult to say whether, as predicted, it will be finished by Christmas. If they are only doing one side of the road, then maybe.
Roadworks roundup…
Looks like the pipes are almost ready to be laid on the Balcón de Europa.

Hopefully they were joking, but the workmen in calle Jaén said the renovations were probably going to take one year!
