Nice to see the carriage boys giving it a go down at Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos, although not having much luck today. It has not been the same for them since they were forced to move from the central Balcon de Europà.

A lot of people around town at the moment, the Balcon de Europa veritably buzzing. Quite a few large tour groups wandering around today. Lovely weather for it, and the forecast for the re-arranged Residents day on Sunday is good.

The sound of jingling carriage bells has become more frequent, leading one to believe that business must be picking up a bit for the (still disillusioned) drivers.
Giving it a go
One of the carriage drivers in Nerja has decided to ‘give it a go’ from the new location of Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos. It’s either that or starve, basically, so I wondered how it was panning out. The new location is a a parking bay, still under construction, on avenida Castilla Perez. So, how was it going so far? …
Horses and trains
July is almost upon us and as yet no sign of the carriages, the relocation dispute still not resolved. One occasionally sees them being used for weddings, but apart from that, nothing.
Carriages to be removed from the Balcon de Europa
The Council has decided to relocate the carriage horses, so long a part of the scene on the Balcon de Europa, and the carriage owners are none too happy about the situation.
