The 56th International Festival of Music and Dance, which ended at the weekend with a concert by the singer Argentina, attracted an audience of around 10,000 people, according to official figures.
Concert by ‘Argentina’ in Plaza de España
The singer ‘Argentina’ will be performing in Plaza de España on Saturday evening, August 15th, the final act in this year’s International Festival of Music and Dance (Caves Concerts). Entry is free.

The 56th International Festival of Music and Dance will feature eight concerts, four held inside the Nerja Caves and a further four taking place, for the first time, in Plaza de España.
Nerja at FITUR
Nerja will revert to having its own stand at the next FITUR tourism fair, a move apparently prompted by requests from tourism-related businesses in the town. The Nerja Caves Foundation will also have a stand at the fair.

Daily highlights of Caves Concerts on YouTube
The 53rd International Festival of Music and Dance starts today at the Nerja Caves and another new initiative this year, in addition to the availability of tickets, is that highlights of each day’s concert will be shown on YouTube the following day.
Free Museum entrance for concert ticketholders
Anyone attending the Caves Concerts this month can, on the same day as the date of their entrance ticket, visit the Nerja Museum in Plaza de España free of charge. In addition, they can have a free, guided tour on that day at 20:00.
LA2 showing recording of one of the Nerja Caves concerts
For the early birds, at 07:50 on Saturday morning, LA2 is scheduled to show a recording of the concert by the RTVE Symphony Orchestra during the 51st Nerja Caves Festival in July. The concert was held on July 16th and includes pieces by Mozart and ‘El Concierto de Aranjuez’ by Joaquín Rodrigo.
