The excellent tapas bar El Pulguilla in calle Cristo, Nerja, is closed for holidays until January 31st 2014.
Tapas at El Pulguilla
It is very difficult just to have one tapa at El Pulguilla in calle Cristo, Nerja, as they are always so rasty. My first was ‘bacalao’ (cod) and it was succulent, beautifully cooked and flavoured and covered with a garlicky sauce. The flavour of the sauce lingered, and I could still taste it over an hour later. Delightful.
Tapas at El Pulguilla
El Pulguilla on calle Cristo is undoubtedly up there amongst the best tapas bars in Nerja. Spacious, vibrant, good service, wide range of delicious tapas and it is even air conditioned. On this occasion I opted for some ‘bacalao’, usually translated as ‘cod’.

El Pulguilla on calle Cristo – great tapas bar, one of the best – are now operating a small street terrace at the front, presumably for the smokers who fancy a few tapas.
Odds and ends…
Bar El Pulguilla on calle Cristo is now closed until February 18th, annual vacations and all that. Joins a long list of places closed at the moment. Smokeless coal in 10 kg bags is now available from The Boatyard bar on El Playazo beach from 11:00 to 12:30 Monday to Friday.
