Local Police have dismantled three settlements under the arches of the aqueduct and removed a caravan from the río del Barranco in Maro.
Evictions in Almeria
During the period 2007 to 2011, more than 11,000 families lost their homes or business premises in Almeria as a result of eviction or foreclosure, according to data released by the platform Affected by the Mortgage at the opening of its new office in Almeria city.
Record number of foreclosures in 2012

Cazalla de la Sierra acts against evictions
The mayor of Cazalla de la Sierra, Sevilla, Carmelo Conde, has signed an order instructing the local police not to assist with any eviction orders. The Council is contacting the banks to demand the end to evictions and is also considering suspending the plusvalia (capital gains) tax and IBI (rates) to help families in the area.
Families earning less than €19,000 per year will not be evicted
Three days of negotiations between the Government and the Socialist Party on the subject of evictions have failed to culminate in an agreement and as a result, the Government will today approve a Royal Decree containing measures deemed most important in preventing more tragic incidents.
Banks suspend evictions in ‘extreme’ cases

Over 77,000 evictions in Andalucia since the crisis began
Five years ago, at the start of the financial crisis in Spain, the number of families evicted from their homes during the first quarter of the year due to the inability to pay their mortgages was 995. This year, the last quarter has seen 4619 families evicted from their homes.
Government wants moratorium on evictions
The Government met in emergency session on Friday following the death of former socialist councillor Amaia Egaña in the town of Barakaldo, the second suicide within the past twenty days by someone facing eviction from their home.
Mortgage brokerage office opened
Families in the municipality of Vélez-Málaga who face the threat of eviction or the loss of their homes can now use the services of a mortgage brokerage office which has been set up in the town.

The Spanish Courts processed 58,241 eviction orders during 2011, a record high and a 22% increase over 2010.
