The Junta de Andalucia has allocated €150 million to an urgent programme of financial aid to small and medium industrial enterprises in the region, the decision being taken in order to alleviate the severe effects of the economic crisis on this sector.

The application period is open for unemployed parents, both mothers and fathers this year, wishing to submit requests for financial assistance for nursery school places for the upcoming academic year.
€49 million aid in 2012 for purchase of electric vehicles
The Government has allocated €49 million to subsideise the purchase of electric cars during 2012 with a maximum of €6,000 for cars, €15,000 for minibuses and €30,000 for buses.
European Commission raises assistance to farmers affected by E.coli outbreak to €210 million
The European Commissioner for Agriculture, Dacian Ciolos, today proposed increasing financial aid to European fruit and vegetable farmers affected by the E.coli fiasco to €210 million, the initial offer having been €150 million.
No help for Torrox
The Highways Department of the Ministry of Development in Málaga has refused to provide financial aid to Torrox Council following the three week closure of part of the N-340 coastal road due to rockslides caused by the heavy rains.
Financial aid for Benamargosa to repair storm damage
The Ministry of Interior, through the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Emergency, has awarded €22,000 financial assistance to the municipality of Benamargosa to help repair damage caused by hail storms in February 2009.
