The Court of Justice of the European Union (TJUE) has imposed a fine of €30 million on Spain for failing to recover illegal tax concessions within the period specified.
€3,000 fine for being topless at Almeria feria
Almeria Council has approved a fine of €3,000 for anyone attending the feria, which starts in eighteen days, topless. The idea is to discourage people from having a few beers while soaking up the sun and then heading to the daytime feria and has been introduced on the grounds of hygiene and aesthetics.
AEN fine archived
The Department of Tourism and Trade of the Junta de Andalucia has archived the disciplinary proceedings brought against Nerja Association of Employers (AEN) for holding a discount feria last February, an action which initially resulted in a €3,001 fine being imposed on the AEN.
AEN facing €3,000 fine
The Ministry of Commerce of the Junta de Andalucia has informed the local Association of Employers, AEN, that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the organisation and it faces a fine of €3,000.
Mother fined for not ensuring daughter went to school
The Provincial Court in Cádiz has ratified the sentence given to a mother whose daughter was constantly absent from school for long periods during 2008 and 2009. The woman was convicted of family abandonment and fined €540.
Heavy fine for Cordoba bar
The Junta de Andalucia has sent notice of a €30,000 fine to the owner of the La Espuma bar in Cabra, Córdoba, for violation of the smoking ban.
Marbella restaurant owner says he will not pay fine
The owner of the ‘Asador de Guadalmina’ in Marbella, José Eugenio Arias, has announced that he no intention of paying the €145,000 fine imposed on him by the Junta de Andalucia for persistent infringement of the new Anti-Smoking Law, particularly as his appeal has not yet been heard.

The Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC) has fined Televisió de Catalunya (TVC) €90,001 for screening the 18 rated film ‘Rocky V’ during the daytime.

Showing a lack of respect to officers of the law is an offence under Article 634 of the Penal Code, as local PSOE Councillor Óscar Raúl Jiménez Fernández found to his cost.
