Fire at furniture warehouse in Lucena
Firemen are still working to put out a fire at a furniture warehouse in Lucena, Córdoba and have been forced to evacuate the residents of a nearby house. The blaze began at around 03:00 on Thursday morning in the warehouse located on the N-331 Córdoba to Málaga road.
Valencia wildfire stabilised
The forest fire in Valencia which has so far destroyed 5,500 hectares of land and affected six municipalities has now been stabilised. Eleven sections of regional roads had to be closed and around 2,000 people had to be evacuated from their homes as a result of the blaze.

Gusting winds hampering firefighting efforts in Valencia
Strong, gusting westerly winds have been hampering firefighting efforts in Chulilla in the Los Serranos district of Valencia, where 2,000 people have already been evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure.
Burning bus
A bus operating between Jaén and Granada and carrying thirty passengers caught fire on Sunday morning, the problem apparently originating in the engine, located at the rear of the vehicle.
