Fire at hotel in Andorra kills two

A fire in the early hours of this morning at the Hotel Normandia in Avenida Príncep Benlloch, Andorra la Vella, has resulted in the deaths of two people with a further sixteen suffering injuries. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

Three injured in fire

Three people were injured and a further six had to be evacuated from their homes as a result of a fire at an apartment block in Nerva, Huelva province.

A woman died and her sister was seriously injured this morning in a fire at their home in calle Feria in the town of Benamejí, Córdoba.

Six people died last night after fire broke out at a residential home for the elderly in the Nervión district of Sevilla with a further ten people suffering injuries.

Fire in Vélez-Málaga

A fire at a two-storey house in Plaza de San Juan de Dios in Vélez-Málaga yesterday caused material damage but, fortunately, no personal injuries. The fire began in the bedroom of the house with smoke affecting the rest of the building. It took firefighters two and a half hours to control and extinguish the fire.

Two injured in fire in Camas, Sevilla

A fire early this morning at a house in Camas, Sevilla, resulted in two people being taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Alleged arsonist in court

Today is the second and final court session in Huelva relating to the fire in Riotinto in which a couple lost their lives and over 35,000 hectares of land were destroyed. There is one accused in the case and the prosecution are seeking a jail term of between 26 and 28 years.

Six injured in fire

Six people had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a house in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla province. The fire began at 05:20 on Wednesday morning, the cause of which is unknown.
