A heavy storm in Jaén province yesterday evening caused flood waters up to two metres deep and a river of mud about twenty-five centimetres deep. Particularly badly hit was the municipality of Puente de Génave.
100 stranded in Casabemerja
Around one hundred people were left stranded in an area of Casabemerja last night after the río Guadalmedina burst its banks. The heavy rains caused the river to rise above the level of the bridge leading to urbanisation El Alcaide and the rural area of Los Portales.
