A British woman and her teenage daughter died yesterday after being swept away by flood waters near Valencia.
Nerja flood damage, Ministry of Interior reveals aid package
The devastating floods in Nerja on September 21st 2007, when 200 litres per square metre of water descended from the heavens within a period of just three hours, caused extensive damage to businesses, private homes and municipal infrastructure. The total cost of the flood, including repairs to infrastructure, has been estimated as being in the region of €9 million.
YELLOW ALERT FOR RAIN
There is a yellow alert for rain in Málaga, the Costa del Sol, Axarquia, Ronda and the Guadalhorce Valley. Around 15 litres of rain per square metre can be expected. Flooding has already occurred this morning in Esrepona and Marbella.
