Real Madrid head Group D in the Champions League after totally outclassing Ajax and winning the match 3-0 with goals from Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema.

Real Betis failed to make it five in a row as they lost 1-0 to Getafe on Monday evening, Castro getting the only goal of the match, but they still hold on to top spot in La Liga.

Zaragoza 0-0 Málaga

A poor display from the Blue and Whites on Sunday night and the chance was lost to go top of La Liga, if only for a day. Instead, a 0-0 draw with Zaragoza leaves them in sixth spot, level on points with fifth placed Real Madrid.

CD Nerja have slipped to tenth place in the Third Division Group 9 after a 2-2 draw with top club Loja CD, although only five points separate top and eleventh position in the division.

A busy week in La Liga
