Real Madrid 2-0 Levante

First half goals from Benzema and Carvalho were enough to see Real Madrid move, at least temporarily, to within two points of leaders Barcelona.

Málaga 2-2 Getafe

Two late goals, an 80th minute penalty from Baptista and a stoppage time strike from Rondón, salvaged a point for Málaga against visiting Getafe, the final score 2-2.

Nerja back on track

Leaders of the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3, San Pedro, suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fuengirola-Boliches and are now only two points ahead of Nerja after they just edged their match against Carolinense CD, 6-0 the final scoreline in that match.

Barcelona’s winning streak ends

Barcelona’s run of wins came to an end on Saturday after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sporting Gijón. Barral gave Sporting the lead in the first half and then later on, David Villa grabbed the equaliser. Barcelona are still eight points clear at the top of La Liga pending Sunday’s games.

Sevilla 0-0 Málaga

The Blue and Whites played out a 0-0 draw against fierce rivals Sevilla, a result which still leaves them firmly rooted to the bottom of La Liga.

End of a good run

All good things come to an end and Nerja’s run of great results ended with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Atletico Marbelli. However, third placed Real Jaen B also lost, 0-3 to Villacarillo, so Nerja are still relatively secure in second place but are now five points behind leaders San Pedro.

Sixteen in a row for Barcelona

Barcelona made it an all-time record on Saturday with their sixteenth consecutive win of the season in La Liga, yet another Lionel Messi hat trick sealing a 3-0 victory against Atletico Madrid.

Osasuna 1-0 Real Madrid

It may only be Real Madrid’s second defeat of the season, but their 0-1 loss to Osasuna could be a significant one as Barcelona are now seven points clear at the top of La Liga.

Another win for Nerja

Nerja are now only two points behind leaders San Pedro and have a five point cushion over third placed Real Jaén B in the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3 after a 4-0 win against Atlético Benamiel.

Málaga hit rock bottom

The Blue and Whites are now propping up La Liga after converting an early lead into a defeat against visiting Zaragoza.
