At the plenary session of the Málaga Provincial Council, the Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, took the floor to defend and expound the virtues of the project to build residential homes and a hotel, along with a golf course, in the municipality.
Court ruling in favour of Nerja Council

Golf course continues to generate debate
The PP government is still battling away to revive the golf course project, rejected by the Junta de Andalucia after the introduction of the POTAX (Plan for the Axarquia) in 2006. On November 15th the government approved another motion to request the Junta de Andalucia to change the law so that the project can go ahead.
