45 illegal immigrants intercepted off the Granada coast

The Marine Service of the Guardia Civil intercepted two boats off the coast of Granada early on Monday morning with a total of 45 passengers on board, all of whom had apparently inadvertently forgotten to bring any form of documentation with them on their trip.

Six hour crime spree

Guardia Civil officers managed to arrest a 39 year old man who committed no less than 11 crimes in Granada and Jaén provinces within a six hour period.

New Year celebrations in Bérchules

A municipality in mourning for domestic violence victim

A day of mourning has been declared in the entire municipality of Pinos Puente (Granada province), which also includes the towns of Valderrubio, Zujaira, Trasmulas, Casanueva and Fuensanta, following the death of a local woman as the result of domestic violence.

Two injured climbers rescued

The Mountain Rescue Service (SEREIM) of the Guardia Civil in Granada has rescued two climbers who were injured in a fall in the Corral del Veleta area of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Climber dies in Granada

A 45 year old climber has died as a result of injuries sustained in a fall into the Corral de la Veleta crevasse in Güéjar Sierra, Granada.
