Cártama expands home help service
Cártama Council has received a €33,000 grant to expand and consolidate its home help service with the funds coming from the Programme for the Consolidation of Home Care Services, part of the Special Social Action Plan of Andalucia to provide extraordinary and urgent assistance in the fight against social exclusion in the region.
Council requests grant for the Nerja School of Music
The Council has approved a motion asking the Junta de Andalucia for a grant of €9,723 for the Nerja School of Music and Dance. The Ministry of Education has established a basis for a system of grants for the development and promotion of cultural activities, which includes music schools.
€181,000 grant for Almachar
The Junta de Andalucia is providing funding of €181,000 for three projects in the municipality of Almachar, Málaga province.
Driving licence initiative in Vélez-Málaga
The Department of Youth in Vélez-Málaga is to start an initiative to help the young unemployed in the area as well as the driving schools, badly hit by the crisis, by offering €100 towards the cost of obtaining a driving licence.
Another grant for Estepona
Estepona Council has just been awarded an exceptional grant of €500,000 to help towards paying outstanding municipal bills for water, electricity and telephones.

The Councilor for Equality, Andrés Márquez, has announced that applications can now be made for assistance under the Municipal Plan for Help for Unemployed Mothers for childcare.
