All the pistes at the Sierra Nevada ski resort in Granada are once again closed, the third consecutive day of inactivity on the slopes, due to gusting winds of up to 90 kph.

Strong winds have once again prevented the Sierra Nevada ski resort from opening with the conditions considered too dangerous. The resort has been closed for six out of the last eight days. An improvement in weather conditions is expected as from January 1st.
Ski resort remains closed
The Sierra Nevada ski resort remains closed for a fourth consecutive day as winds of up to 130 kph batter the area. When the storm passes, the recent snowfalls mean that around 17 kilometres of pistes should be open and skiable.
Alerts for high winds in Almería and Granada provinces
It is Orange Alert in Almería and Yellow Alert in Granada provinces for high, gusting winds up to 75 kph.
