The Council has announced a change to the timetable relating to the collection of waste from the streets, the vehicles now beginning at 10:30 at night rather than the current 00:00.
Extended hours at the Municipal Library
During the festive period, the Municipal Library has extended its hours. It is now open from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Friday and from 09:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:45 on Saturdays.
Municipal working week increases as from September 1st
As from September 1st, Council employees will start working 37.5 hours per week instead of the current 35 hours per week to comply with Law 2/2012 of June 29th relating to the State Budget.
Tourist Office hours change again
The Nerja Tourist Office is now open from 10:00 to 14:00 seven days per week.
Extended library hours for the summer
As from July 1st the Public Library will be open from 09:00 to 22:00 without interruption, with 09:00 to 14:00 being for normal library usage – loans and returns of books, internet usage etc – and from 14:00 to 22:00 as a study centre.
Tourist Office opening hours
The Nerja Tourist Office is currently only open from 10:00 to 14:00 Monday to Saturday and not on Sundays or in the evenings.
Quirky time
Summer is here, the population is increasing so it’s time for some of those quirky decisions we’ve come to love. Well, tolerate. The Post Office, as from today, is now only open from 08:30 to 14:30 Monday to Friday and from 08:30 to 13:30 on Saturday.
Summer hours at the Donkey Sanctuary
New summer hours at the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary. During the whole of July and August, the sanctuary will be open from 10:00-14:00 and 17:00-20:00 during the week and 10:00-14:00 at weekends.
