Search for 37 illegal immigrants

Marine Rescue vessels and helicopters are searching the Alborán Sea for a small boat carrying 37 Moroccans after a call was received from a Moroccan national stating that the small craft had left Alhucemas on Saturday night. However, the authorities have no coordinates for the boat nor any clear position.

45 illegal immigrants intercepted off the Granada coast

The Marine Service of the Guardia Civil intercepted two boats off the coast of Granada early on Monday morning with a total of 45 passengers on board, all of whom had apparently inadvertently forgotten to bring any form of documentation with them on their trip.

5 illegal immigrants rescued off Ceuta

Five sub-Saharans were rescued early this morning a few miles off the coast near Ceuta, their boat drifting aimlessly. All needed medical attention with one of the passengers suffering from a broken nose.

Three boats intercepted

A total of 86 illegal immigrants traveling in three boats have been intercepted along the Andalucian coast and are now in Almeria and Motril awaiting processing. The passengers, who included five women, were all in good health after their wasted journey.

A morning for small boats

In a little over an hour this morning, three small dinghies were intercepted in the Straits of Gibraltar with a total of nine illegal immigrants on board.

12 illegal immigrants intercepted early this morning

Even high unemployment and a recession isn’t deterring the wannabe immigrants from making the perilous journey across the Mediterranean in their flimsy boats, another twelve being picked up early this morning about 18 miles east of Cabo de Gata, Almeria.

5 immigrants arrive on Marbella beach

Five Moroccan immigrants were detained last night on playa Guadalmina in Marbella after arriving on the beach in a small dinghy. The repatriation process has already been started.
