30 illegals arrive in Granada

Police in Torrenueva, Granada province, have located and apprehended 30 sub-Saharan travelers who had already made it onto land. The police were notified by a passer-by that a boat had just landed near Peñón de Jolúcar and they set off immediately to round up the unwanted visitors. So much for high-tech surveillance systems.

36 illegal immigrants intercepted

A boat carrying 36 illegal immigrants, one of whom had died en route, has been intercepted by Guardia Civil officers from the Maritime Division on the Isla de  Alborán, Almería province. All indications are that the man died from hyperthermia. The remaining 35 passengers, including two possible minors, were treated by members of the Red Cross.
