A 30 year old man on Gran Canaria has become the tenth fatality in Spain as a result of complications arising from Influenza A. The man was admitted to the Hospital Insular on Gran Canaria on July 29th. Although he was not suffering any chronic disease, the man was said to be in a ‘risk group’.

A 28 year old woman admitted to the ICU of the Hospital 9 de Octubre in Valencia on Monday has become the ninth fatality as a result of complications arising from Inflenza A.

A 35 year old woman died yesterday at the Hospital Josep Trueta in Girona as a result of comlications associated wth Influenza A, the eighth fatality in Spain.
7th Influenza A fatality in Spain
A 34 year old man has died in the Hospital General in Villarrobledo, Albacete, to become the seventh Influenza A fatality in Spain. The man had been suffering from a severe illness and had been in hospital since July 12th.
Plans to vaccinate children up to 14 years of age against Influenza A
The Minister of Health, Trinidad Jiménez, has announced that children up to the age of 14 years will be vaccinated against Influenza A.
Sixth Influenza A fatality in Spain
A 53 year old man from Valencia has become the sixth Influenza A fatality in Spain. The man was in the ICU at the Hospital La Ribera de Alzira (Valencia) and is believed to have been suffering from other medical problems.
Fifth Swine Flu fatality in Spain
The number of deaths in Spain as a result of Influenza A (Swine flu, H1N1) has risen to five after it was revealed that a 41 year old man died in Valencia on July 20th. The latest victim was also suffering from serious renal problems.

Two people died on Thursday as a result of Influenza A, bringing the total of number of deaths in Spain from the virus to four.
