Boats from North Africa continue to arrive off the Spanish coast with alarming regularity, although not in such numbers as was the case a couple of years ago. The latest arrival, last night, was a boat carrying 36 people, including two pregnant women, which was intercepted off the Isla de Alborán inAlmería.
36 illegal immigrants intercepted
A boat carrying 36 illegal immigrants, one of whom had died en route, has been intercepted by Guardia Civil officers from the Maritime Division on the Isla de Alborán, Almería province. All indications are that the man died from hyperthermia. The remaining 35 passengers, including two possible minors, were treated by members of the Red Cross.
