Real Madrid 6-2 Malaga

Malaga suffered a bit of a drubbing on Wednesday evening, losing 6-2 to Real Madrid and finishing the match with only nine men after Sanchez and Demichelis were both ordered back to the dressing room.

Barcelona 4-2 Betis

Betis twice tool the lead against Barcelona on Sunday, first through Pabón in the second minute and Ruben Pérez just before half time, but were pegged back by strikes from David Villa and Alexis.

Granada 1-0 Málaga

Granada took another step towards survival in the top flight with a 1-0 win against Málaga, Ighalo scoring what turned out to be the winner in the 28th minute. Málaga slip to sixth place after Valencia beat Osasuna 4-0 with goals from Soldado, Ricardo Costa, Banega and Jonas from the penalty spot.

Málaga 2-1 Getafe

Santa Cruz and Weligton were on target for the Blue and Whites as they beat Getafe 2-1 on Sunday, Valera scoring for the visitors. Málaga are still looking for a top six finish, hoping that their European ban will be overturned now that their finances are more in order.

Athletic Bilbao 2-2 Barcelona

Athletic Bilbao took the lead against Barcelona through Susaeta and that’s the way it stayed until midway through the second half when Messi and Alexis struck in quick succession.

Valencia 5-1 Málaga

Málaga did their chances of a top four finish no good after getting hammered 5-1 at Valencia on Saturday evening. Danai Perejo, Soldado with two and Canales put Valencia 4-0 up within 30 minutes before Baptista pulled one back for the Blue and Whites.

Wins for the top three

Two goals from Ronaldo, the first after only two minutes, and one for Higuaín saw Real Madrid win 0-3 at Athletic Bilbao. Ronaldo now has fifty for the season so far.

Málaga 1-0 Osasuna

Málaga bounced back from their Champions League defeat and moved up to fifth in La Liga after a 1-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday, although they left it very late indeed, Baptista scoring in the 93rd minute.

Valencia 2-1 Valladolid

Atlético Madrid look pretty secure in third place in La Liga, a good job as they could only draw 0-0 in their local derby against Getafe on Sunday. Valencia are fifth and only two points behind Real Sociedad after a 2-1 win against Valladolid.

Barcelona 5-0 Mallorca

Barcelona maintain their comfortable thirteen point lead at the top of La Liga after a 5-0 win against Mallorca, Fabregas scoring a hat-trick and Alexis getting two goals. There were no less than 28 goals in the five matches played on Saturday.
