Barcelona 4-0 Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona move to withing three points of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga after a 4-0 win against Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday night, Alexis grabbing a brace and Messi and Villa getting one each.

Málaga 2-1 Villarreal

A good win for the Blue and Whites against Villarreal on Monday night keeps them in fifth place in La Liga, although they are now eleven points behind Real Madrid.

Real win, Barcelona don’t

A hard-fought match against Getafe saw Barcelona fail to capitalise on their early domination at the Colloseum Alfonso Perez and suffering the consequences, going a goal down after a Getafe counter attack, Valera the scorer. The defeat leaves Barcelona six points adrift of Real Madrid in La Liga.

Racing Santander 1-3 Málaga

The Blue and Whites travelled to Racing Santander on Monday night and came away with three valuable points, winning the match 1-3. Isco, Alvaro (og) and Seba Fernández were the scorers for Málaga with Arana managing to score at the correct end for Racing.

Valencia 2-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid remain three points clear at the top of La Liga after a 2-3 victory over Valencia.

Athletic Bilbao 2-2 Barcelona

A last minute goal from Lionel Messi salvaged a point for Barcelona in a 2-2 draw at Athletic Bilbao and they are now three points adrift of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid 7-1 Osasuna

A bit of a one-sided affair at the Bernabeu as Real Madrid hammered seven past Osasuna, winning the match 7-1 in the end.

Valencia move up to third

The Blue and Whites played our a 0-0 draw against Real Betis on Saturday night while Sevilla also failed to score as they drew 0-0 with Mallorca. Goals in the other game though as Valencia moved up to third place after beating Levante 0-2 with goals by Jordi Alba and Tino Costa.

Málaga 2-1 Espanyol

After a good start to the season Nerja have been slowly slipping down the table and are now sixteenth after losing 3-0 at San Pedro.

Barcelona 5-0 Mallorca

A ninth minute goal from Higuaín was enough for Real Madrid to beat Real Sociedad 0-1 on Saturday evening and move to the top of the table pending Sunday’s games.
